Dec 5, 2025

If one side of your headphones or speakers sounds louder than the other, adjusting the audio balance can help you achieve a more comfortable listening experience. Windows 11 provides several ways to change left and right channel levels, whether you’re using built-in speakers, wired headphones, Bluetooth devices, or external audio interfaces. Here’s how to do it.

Method 1: Adjust Audio Balance via Settings

Windows Settings provides a straightforward way to control the left and right audio channels for most output devices.

Right-click the speaker icon in your taskbar and select Sound settings. Alternatively, go to Settings > System > Sound.
